Utopia Scoping Project

Central Desert Training has been engaged by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) under the IEP program to undertake an Employment and Training Scoping Project in the Utopia region.

The project involves the following:

Stakeholder and Community Consultations;
Identifying and mapping of current employment positions in the Region;
Identifying minimum training requirements for employment positions identified;
Of employment positions identified, identification of vacant positions and length of vacancies;
Identifying and mapping training that has been delivered in the Region. This is be carried out to participant level, including but not limited to dates training was delivered, course details and the RTO;
Identifying if training was relevant to the Region and employment positions identified;
Identifying and mapping population in the Utopia Homelands Region. This will provide a benchmark as to the response data from community members in relation to training.

The project concludes on 24 December 2010.
