Forklift

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift, including checking forklift condition, driving the forklift, to fulfil operational requirements, monitoring site conditions and monitoring and maintaining forklift performance.
Operation of a forklift is performed under some supervision, generally within a team environment. It involves the application of routine equipment operation principles and procedures to maintain the safety and operation of a forklift in a variety of operational contexts.

This unit is suitable for learners with no prior experience driving forklifts. Learners are provided with training materials to use throughout the training and keep for future reference. Learners must be at least 18 years of age (Proof of ID required, eg. Drivers license, valid passport, birth certificate or citizenship papers. This Nationally Recognised Unit forms part of the Transport and Logistics Training Package.
